Steeped in history and built in a heartwarming honey hue of local stone, Britain's Cotswolds area is one of the most accessible areas of glorious countryside in the country.
The area is blessed with fascinating places to see and things to do at all points of the compass. To the North are some of the prettiest villages in the country. Chipping Norton, Stowe-on-the-Wold and Burford are famous villages dotted with local butchers and bakers, pubs, tea rooms and a never ending number of local shops to rummage and explore. To the South are the famous Roman Baths of the city of Bath in the county of Avon, as well as no shortage of beautiful countryside. To the East you will find Oxford, Woodstock and Blenheim Palace; to the West the spa town of Cheltenham and the City of Gloucester.
The whole area is a short hop on the train to London, making it one of the easiest parts of Britain to stay in and explore.
